The Failure Of My Mock Exams

I have an issue with my exams next week.

I have 11 mock exams which only 3 of them are for subjects I actually wanted to do in the first place. The other 8 are spaced out across subjects I hate and cannot do at all.

First off... Science. We have 3 mock science exams in one week all on different subjects of course HOWEVER we have 2 of said exams on the first Monday after a half term of all things. It's been a week. My brain's just got used to not learning and working for a bit and would LOVE an extra week off to actually get back into the habit of things but NOOOOO. First Monday and three exams... 2 Science ( The topics that tend to fuck me in theass anyway ) and an hour and a half Maths exam... LAST TWO LESSONS! After third lesson my brain is just mushed and dead and I can no longer learn and most of that is due to the fact that scientifically SCHOOL STARTS TO EARLY , but it's also due to the fact that for the first three lessons ( especially if there is an exam in one of lessons ) I have knowledge and judgement and expectations ( which I never fill anyway ) flying at me from all directions ESPECIALLY from the paper sitting in front of me with nothing on it when everyone else's paper is already filled.

My Maths exams don't bother me as much because they are relatively do-able so I'm not too fussed. However , they never cover the subjects that actually help in life. Granted Maths helps in life because it is one of the first things employers look at but the things covered on the actual exam which gives you this employer worthy grade is never graded to your actual skill.

ENGLISH! Oh my god English. 4 actual papers but for our first mock week we are only doing 2 and those 2 are on the topic I can't fucking write about. Granted , I'm a babbler. I can babble on for hours about a topic but not when that topic has multiple little details and layouts and requires a certain structure for it to be emaculate. Also , We have 2 sections to both papers for the first section it starts out relatively misleading because you have two questions which all it requires you to do is read back through the text given and answer a simple question based on literal quote knowledge. So it's write what you see basically. However the next few question are massive mark answers that require in depth discussion about boring texts and what the words suggest and what the structure suggest which makes actually no sense at all to me and I write slow anyway so to write 2 pages on absolute bollocks that is meant to mean something in about 15 minutes is one of the hardest things you could ask me to do. It doesn't sound like it would be a massive burden to me but it is... MASSIVELY. And then in the 2nd section we have to write a 4 and a half page short story or article or excerpt or anything in that area that fits a certain criteria which to be honest isn't that bad when given more time than just 45 minutes. One exam. Both sections. In 2 hours 30 minutes. That is what I call stupidity. Yes I get extra time but the school doesn't give it to me at all. And what's great is that we have 4 of those in our actual exams but next week we have 2 of them in the same fucking week. I'm not saying they should be longer but I'm saying they should be spaced out more with more than 4 exams each maybe 45 minutes to an hour long. But that'd just piss me off more.

Now , the most annoying subject of all... R.E. My honest to God brutal opinion of R.E is that it teaches good things but in an absolute TERRIBLE way. All the years below us don't have to do it. Just us. And even then half of our year have been moved into subjects that end at Christmas so in January they will have a free lesson and therefore more time to revise less subjects which is both unfair and annoying because whilst the rest of us are stuck in a lesson we are told we have the option to leave but once we try we are told we can't the others are off gallivanting round the halls probably dicking off outside some classroom.

So , in conclusion. They have made the specification much harder than previous exams. We have more exams , more stuff on those exams , a grading system not even the teachers understand properly , questions that the students either don't understand or haven't learned , teachers and parents saying "it can't be that hard or "last years year 11's did this perfectly why can't you" , a grading system that is both stricter and and very annoyingly specific. We are all fucked basically. None of us are going to college or getting a job so we'll all be living off benefits and if someone god forbid tried to start a career on YouTube they'd be very disappointed because even YouTubers don't get paid anymore because some 12 year old fucker uses ad-block. However , blogging isn't really going downhill aside from the fact people don't really pay attention to them and they generally don't get read anymore so that isn't a great medium for people of my generation to get into... A ) they are all illiterate anyway ( bar a few ) , B ) It doesn't really pay much at all unless you've been doing it for like 15 years and gain like a shit ton of readers and sponsors every year , C ) half of them either don't know what blogging is or just think it's a thing mum's do to promote their children and bitch about life to other mum's.

Anyway , if you work in a school and strongly believe in the current education system then fuck you and all you're values because you believe in the wrong things. Usually I'm very open minded and actually take in other people's opinions but not when they are fucking wrong , like factually incorrect. Also , if anyone actually reads this share this anonymously with your school and friends because they need to know that the education system is fucked and just getting worse and that eventually no one will have jobs aside from people that already went through school and there will be a lot more poverty and despair as hundreds of just out of school kids have no were to go or no job to actually live on their own terms.

Anyway , rant over.

See ya next time when I'm failing my exams and want to blog to forget about how fucked my future is as a result.
