One of the Best

We all know that high school can be many things. Weird, wonderful, stressful, confusing, etc. However, one of the best things is how close you can become with some of the teachers. When you get to year 11 (the last year), you go to period sixes and spend so much time with your teachers. Period sixes are extra lessons, after hours, where you would casually go over specific content.

The great thing is that you spend so much time with these teachers, that you forget that they are years old. You start talking as though you’re old friends. Joking around and having fun. It can be a very positive impact on some of the students’ stress.

All of this information is leading to one teacher. Let’s call him Mr. Teen Spirit. Now Mr. Teen Spirit is one of the most casual teachers at our school. He is somewhere around his forty’s and wears rectangular glasses. He teaches English. I had this one period six with him where we went over a certain poem for lit.

Me and some friends were in this lesson together. It was so casual and fun. We joked, laughed, and just did what. We still got through the poem’s analysis. This thing is that not many people turn up to period sixes, so it was round three students and one teacher just making jokes and laughing.

It’s so different from average high school days because even though it is an extra lesson, we are casual and fun. This teacher is just so hyped up and energetic, that he wipes away your exhaustion. This is going to be one thing that I miss from my high school years.
